Fees and Sessions
Aldenham Prep School educates boys and girls in Nursery from their third birthday up to Year 6.
Children start in Nursery once they have turned three years of age. Children normally start in the smaller 'Wilbur' classroom and when they are ready developmentally they move into the larger 'Elmer' classroom. A day in Nursery is from 9.00am to 3.15pm. A morning session is 9.00am to 11.45am and an afternoon is from 12.30pm to 3.15pm. Depending on availability children can attend full time, sessions or a mixture of days and sessions.
In the Foundation Stage Breakfast Bears runs from 8.00am until 8.55am. At 8.55am children are safely escorted to their classrooms before the doors open at 9.00am. Tea Time Teddies runs until 5.15pm, Monday to Thursday and to 4.15pm on Friday.
In Pre-Prep the school day starts at 9.00am and ends at 3.30pm. Early Birds is from 8.00am and Clubs & Activities/ Late club run to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30pm on Friday.
For Years 3-6 the school day starts at 8.45am and ends at 3.30pm. Early Birds is from 8.00am and Clubs & Activities/ Late club run to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30pm on Friday.
Please note - The UK Government has announced that Independent School Fees will be subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) from January 2025. Prospective parents should be aware that Aldenham is publishing below the fees as from January 2025, but these are subject to change from September 2025. As always, we advise parents to take independent financial advice when considering committing to paying fees of this nature to ensure ongoing affordability and to prevent disruption to the child's education.

The fees include the cost of stationery, the use of ordinary text books and apparatus, and access to all facilities. A cooked lunch is provided for all full time pupils as part of the fees. Optional Extra Charges, such as private music lessons and paid clubs are billed termly in arrears on a separate invoice.
Payment of Fees
We provide various options for the payment of fees.
They can be collected termly by direct debit, or nine month direct debit (3 months each term). We do offer a Fees In Advance scheme if parents wish to pay for the whole year or more in advance. We do offer a discount under such circumstances.
If parents wish to pay monthly, we have an arrangement with School Fee Plan who can facilitate this service.
